WELCOME TO ST MARY'SWe are celebrating Easter and the life Christ promises that will not end. On Pentecost Sunday we will be celebrating the life God's Holy Spirit brings us in the midst of our Flower Festival. We do hope that you will be able to join us at some time over that weekend.
St Mary’s is a warm and welcoming Christian community of all ages. The church is open on Saturdays 10.00 – 12.00am and tea and coffee is served. Children’s worship meet in the meeting room during the 10 o’clock service. The first Sunday in the month is a family service when the children remain in church. We welcome families for Christenings on 3rd Sunday of each month at 12noon. The church is also available for weddings and funerals. There is someone in the vicar’s vestry on Thursday between 7.00 and 7.30pm to arrange details. Traidcraft goods are on sale fortnightly after the 10am Sunday service. We hold social and fund raising events for our funds and charity. Our last event was a Harvest Supper with an African theme. A great time was had by all eating African food and playing African Beetle. Money was raised for Malawi. Trips are also organised to plays at Hall Green Little Theatre and Town Hall and Symphony Hall for City of Birmingham Choir Concerts. Recently we all enjoyed a coach trip to Ilam in Derbyshire. This wide variety of activities enables us to be a better and closer Christian community and we look forward to welcoming you.
